As the healthcare industry evolves, with more individual consumers entering the marketplace as part of healthcare exchanges, EmblemHealth – the largest health insurer in New York State – foresaw an immediate opportunity to create a better, more guiding online experience for a large audience. 20 million New Yorkers, to be exact.

Committed to helping people stay healthy, get well and live better, EmblemHealth sought to engage New Yorkers online and ultimately, make the web the channel of choice for connecting with them.

Their new website needed to be informative, comprehensive and simple to use for all audiences – consumers, members, brokers, providers and employers.

We helped with strategy, IA, visual design, brand extension, HTML development and site build, partnering with EmblemHealth throughout an ongoing multi-phased approach.

Responsive Design

We recommended a custom, responsive design, data-driven website to provide users with a single destination across devices – desktop, tablet and mobile.

Content Management

We also tackled their content management challenge, electing for a site build within the Sitecore CMS platform.

Sitecore gives content authors control over content editing, workflow and approvals. It enables EmblemHealth to quickly adapt content to shifting market and consumer needs.
