Senior Content Strategist

The Senior Content Strategist is a multi-faceted problem solver who believes that content organization, planning, creation and distribution form the core of business communication and marketing strategy. We seek individuals who ensure the customer experiences, campaigns and the products we create are customer-centric, holistic and results-driven—intersecting customers at the most meaningful moments in their journeys. We want a seasoned collaborator who can team up with designers, strategists, developers and even our clients to develop innovative content solutions across all touch-points and channels. The right person has a clear understanding and passion for Experience Design fundamentals—using research, analytics and testing to drive smarter solutions that generate tangible business impact. We are looking for someone who revels in translating research into actionable solutions. If you have a passion for taxonomy and metadata frameworks and your experience includes developing information architecture for large-scale, content-rich experiences we would love to meet you.

  • Develop and organize content rich experiences - including site structure and taxonomy recommendations as well as deep familiarity with best practices for how to efficiently structure content for authors
  • Translate a brand’s story and business objectives into innovative content plans across an organization’s marketing ecosystem including digital properties
  • Interpret user research and site analytics to inform content ideas and recommendations
  • Craft presentations and present your ideas in a coherent, authoritative manner
  • Identify new formats, platforms, media, and digital opportunities to creatively tell our clients stories
  • Guide user research to assess content effectiveness and interpret site analytics and inform content ideas and recommendations
  • Assist or lead the persona and journey mapping development process.
  • Embed SEO thinking and keyword-rich research into all content recommendations
  • Collaborate across departments to represent content as a key pillar of client business
  • A strong background in content strategy, with at least 5-7 years’ experience working with large-scale websites and content management systems
  • Experience in informing and guiding the creative direction of marketing campaigns (particularly digital)
  • Experience and general understanding of marketing channels including website, blog, social, and email marketing
  • Strong writing capabilities with an eye for design
  • General understanding of design tools such as Sketch and Figma
  • Comfortable in a client-facing role with the ability to quickly build rapport and trust
  • Ability to both manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects ranging from the large and complex to the small and straightforward
  • Self-motivated and able to deliver high-quality thinking and work against multiple, sometimes competing, deadlines
