Lead Healthcare Marketing Strategist

The Healthcare Practice Area Lead (PAL) is a subject matter expert in healthcare marketing. The role requires senior strategy thought leadership across various areas of healthcare from providers, payers, and hospital networks.



  • Client Strategy. As a key part of the client team, the Healthcare PAL will:
    • Identify challenges and develop solutions for clients that support achievement of their brand and business objectives while supporting client revenue goals
    • Maintain a roster of 3-5 existing clients whose businesses you are deeply familiar with and for whom you provide ongoing consultative support.
    • Partner with the Client Services Lead to support long-term client relationships and account growth, including annual strategic planning sessions
    • Become an indispensable advisor to our Healthcare clients, building C-Level relationships, and providing ideas and insights, a point of view on trends, etc.


  • Practice Area Growth. As someone deeply familiar with the trends, opportunities and challenges of the Healthcare industry, the Healthcare PAL will:
    • Develop and implement an annual plan to grow the Healthcare Practice Area
    • Actively lead, drive and close new business opportunities in partnership with the business development team
    • Increase reputation and visibility of the Healthcare Practice
    • Lead development of thought leadership and marketing materials that convey Primacy’s expertise and attract new clients.
    • Increase industry awareness of Primacy and its strategic capabilities and services
    • Seek opportunities to share strategic thinking with the wider Healthcare industry through involvement in relevant industry organizations, speaking engagements, published articles, client roundtables, etc.


  • Proven ability to build productive relationships with VP, SVP and C-level leaders
  • Deep subject matter expertise
  • Strong understanding of the trends, opportunities, and challenges in healthcare, including the role of critical technologies across the digital ecosystem
  • The ability to drive a strategic and successful approach to new business opportunities
  • A strategic and collaborative approach to short- and long-term client success and account growth
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to act both independently and as an essential, sought after, collaborative member of the internal team
  • Increase awareness of Primacy and its work in Healthcare through successful client work and thought leadership efforts
  • Educate internal staff on the needs and trends in Healthcare
