Brand Planner

The Primacy Strategic Planning team uncovers breakthrough consumer and industry insights and trends—setting the vision and translating this information into actionable big ideas. The ideal candidate has at least 8 years of experience developing creative solutions for complex business challenges, taking these ideas from conception to implementation and optimization.
Candidates should expect to demonstrate their current in-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and CRM disciplines (including primary research, segmentation, targeting, direct marketing and customer care) and how they bring this together with exceptional thinking, communication, and influence within a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
And most importantly, we seek candidates with a contagious enthusiasm for pushing the frontier of how marketing could evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of the most powerful and well-informed consumer base the world has ever seen.

  • Partner with Account and Strategy teams to translate client needs into strong creative briefs for our Creative team—distilling research, information, and insights down to a singular strategic idea for creative teams to act on
  • Primary research conducting focus groups with discussion guides, online/offline surveys, ad-hoc interviews, and customer segmentation studies
  • Secondary research finding unexpected insights and stories about our clients and consumers, and the way they experience the world around them
  • Help guide creative ideation and conceptualization throughout the entire process to ensure we are creating amazing work that moves the needle for our clients
  • Help our Account team develop and grow accounts by leveraging VOC insights to help drive marketing solutions for complex real-world business challenges
  • Partner with our Advanced Analytics & Insights team to help ensure their deliverables consider consumer insights and industry/vertical trends
  • Lead team brainstorm sessions, prioritizing the results and working to ensure that great ideas don’t just die on the vine
  • Recognize market trends and identify ways to leverage those trends
  • Partner with Account and Strategy teams to develop and evolve annual plans for key accounts that generate
    incremental revenue for the agency
  • Identify high-impact opportunities for delivering value
  • Create demand for your role within the organization and for key client accounts
  • 8+ years of experience developing creative solutions for complex business challenges
  • Confident and articulate with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Passion for amazing creative and a strong creative storyteller
  • Ability to uncover deep consumer insights
  • Well-versed in any industry, brand, or communication platform with the ability to offer a confident POV
  • Experienced leading client meetings, possessing excellent presentation skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset

  • Experience as a brand strategist or similar role a plus
  • Degree in business, marketing, branding, communication, or related field a plus
