Senior Strategist, Financial Services

Primacy is seeking strategic marketers who have deep and broad digital and offline marketing experience. You will serve as the front door of the organization within the financial industry to act as a subject matter expert. This role positions Primacy as high-value, strategic-thinking, industry thought-leaders who develop purposeful solutions. Practice Leads take a consultative approach to align Primacy capabilities and services with prospective and existing client needs in a manner that drives long-term, relationship-driven engagements.

Practice Leads are accountable for client strategy, go to market tactics and advancement of client measures. Responsibilities also include expanding Primacy’s industry footprint and being the lead of a presales support team. 


Industry Expertise 

  • Understand the needs, challenges and future trends of the financial vertical 
  • Provide business trend input to agency teams
  • Internal/external thought leadership activities such as workshops and speaking engagements
  • Responsible for driving strategic thinking and industry insights across client engagements

Account Leadership

  • Provide strategic and tactical guidance across Financial accounts
  • Work with clients and team to define on-line and off-line measurement dashboards
  • Direct internal market research teams to understand audience and optimal brand positioning
  • Take lead in optimizing client Net Promoter Scores (NPS)
  • Discover and develop innovative solutions for the financial industry
  • Provide strategic insights and direction to project executional teams
  • Communicate and “roll-out” post-implementation feedback with clients and internal functional areas for continuous improvement

Market Outreach

  • Craft and promote our industry positioning to gain greater Primacy market awareness
  • Identify top prospect accounts and define go-to-market strategy
  • Provide leadership to presales teams and help support pitch process
  • Recommend lead generation campaigns and increase agency visibility via marketing programs (e.g., email, blog posts, inbound marketing, speaking engagements, and conferences) in coordination with internal marketing team


  • 10+ years in marketing role with 5+ years in Finance
  • Strong critical, analytical and creative-thinking skills to provide strategic direction and insight-driven solutions
  • Experience owning, reporting and optimizing internal ROI measures
  • Agency experience in developing and maintaining long-term client relationships, and/or direct industry experience driving complex marketing and technology programs
  • Experience in digital and traditional marketing tools
  • Agency background a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
